New pictures

We had a bit of a scare yesterday. While I was at work, I started to get period like cramps in my lower abdomen. I called the doctor's office worried since we miscarried in January, I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. While we were there, the doctor checked over everything, pushed on my tummy and listened to the heartbeat said everything felt and sounded good, but just wanted to make sure that everything on the inside was good too.
Hence the new ultrasound pictures. The ultrasound lady looked at how far along we are and said if we wanted to know we could tell at this stage and ultrasound. We pondered the idea and then decided we didn't want to know. So enjoy the pictures and take your guess at what will be arriving in May of 2009!

16 weeks and 4 days

Here is a picture of me at 16 weeks and 4 days into my pregnancy. Things are going really well, I have been feeling so much better I am able to eat. At our last appointment I had not gained any weight which was not a big deal. We will see how things are going next week when I go back for my next appointment. I will try and post monthly belly pictures. We missed 12 weeks because it was deer season and my husband had the camera with him. Thanks for stopping by!

I know it has been a while

So I know I have been absent for the whole month of October and the only excuse I have is, the little one growing in my belly!!
That is right my husband and I are expecting our first child May 17Th! We are both excited and I am a little scared. Hard to believe that we are going to be parents! As some of you may remember we lost a baby at 5 1/2 weeks. Well we are 7 weeks past that and doctor says everything looks good. I am exactly 12 weeks today! And starting to feel better. I spent the last 6+ weeks getting sick everyday several times a day. The doctor gave me some medicine to help with it and I am eating smaller meals more often and finding that, that helps. So far I have LOST 4 lbs, but that is expected the doctor said. We will see him again November 13 and will be able to hear the heartbeat at this appointment.
We have decided not to find out what we are having as we want it to be a surprise. Stop back by and I will hopefully have some pictures to post as I am growing and giving you updates on our progress. I am hoping to start making cards and crafts now that I will hopefully be feeling better. Thanks for stopping and please keep us in your prayers for a healthy and beautiful child!

Here is how I spent my birthday

Okay, as promised here are the items I sewed the weekend of my birthday. The first one is a rag quilt. It is made of 6 different cotton materials and flannel. I picked 3 and my husband picked 3. Can you guess who picked what?

The next is a hooded towel, my friend Jami showed me how to make these and boy was it easy. My niece loved it so I am going to make her one.

Next are burp towels. I saw these at a store in Omaha and knew I could so that. The 3 different kinds of material I used were the ones my huband picked. I had extra so I thought I would put it to good use.

The final two items are boppy lounger covers. This is what stemed all of this sewing. Our friends in Florida, Loryn and Jason, check out their blog, listed under friend Pace's. Asked if I could make a couple lounger covers for them. So this is how they turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

A bouns card for everyone too. My friend Jennie had a baby boy on 9/3 and this is the card I sent to her and her family. Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I have made!!!

I have finally made something!!!

Okay I know it has been a while since I have posted something. Not as long as some other blogger, but I won't name names, Jami, Pam and Jill!!! But I have been super crafty this past weekend. Which is a perfect way to celebrate my birthday! I spent all of Sunday sewing, which after I get the items sent in the mail and know they are received I will post pictures of my creations. I don't know if the person receiving the items knows I have blog or not so just in case I thought I would wait until I know they have them so it will be a surprise.

Okay so the two cards I am post today.......They baby card goes to a friend from high school who just welcomed her second child, a little girl. So I thought I would get a card out congratulating her and her family for their new addition.

The second one is for my nephew to send to Speaker of the House, Mike Flood. My parents take my nephew on a yearly vacation and this year is was to Mahoney State Park. They had fun things planned for every day they were there, one day was a trip into Lincoln to see the Capitol, which really fascinated my nephew, he really likes history. Any way he got a full tour with a special look into Speaker of the House Mike's office, he also got a special tour of Memorial Stadium and practice field. He was in heaven.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the sewing fun I had next time.

Wow, has it really been that long?

So wow, I have neglected my blog. Sorry for those of you who check it regularly. I have been creating, but it is usually I needed the card five minutes ago and didn't get a chance to take the picture.
Let's see in my absence I have gotten a job, I'm not sure I like, celebrated my 2nd anniversary, talked with my husband about starting a family, and took a mini vacation with my family.
So the job.......I now work at a pivot making factory about 36 miles from home. Now I do not actually make the pivots, I work in an office, but occasionaly have to get dirty. I am still training and maybe that is why I don't like or the fact that I leave my house at 6 am just to make sure I have enough time to get to work without being late. I'm sure once I get use to things, I might enjoy it a little bit more. Let's hope anyway.
My 2nd Anniversary.......Didn't do anything to exciting, I made one of my husbands favorite meals, Salisbury steak, had desert with my in-laws.
The baby talk......nothing new to report here. I talked, he listened and we are still in the "let's see what happens stage." Hopefully I will be able to tell you that we are expecting, but for now, no.
The mini vacation.......Every year my parents take my nephew on a camping trip somewhere. Last year they did Mt. Rushmore, and some historical sites. My nephew loves history. This year they camped at Mahoney State Park. My sister and her daughter went up on Friday of last week. I on the other hand had to golf on Saturday and made my way there when I was finished. We spent the evening at the water park there. I have never laughed so much in a long time. Now, mind you, I am no longer in the shape I was to wear a bikini, but once seeing some of the other ladies, I was pretty comfortable. Anyway, we spent about an hour and a half in the wave pool. Oh, my, goodness. That was so much fun!!! You can rent innertube for a couple of bucks and it felt like I was surfing or something. I kept running into this lady and kept apologizing, but she said not to worry, you can't control where you land. And that was the truth, you couldn't. My sister and I decided we needed to make that a yearly thing and hopefully our spouses will join us next year!
I promise I will try and get cards made soon and get them posted. Thanks for stopping by!!!!!
