I know it has been forever since I posted last, I have no excuse. I have stamped, but just haven't had time to take pictures or even post pictures. Please forgive me.

Things right now are going like always, busy. Jon has started to play softball for the summer, I am trying to be a good wife and go, but lack to motivation. Down in the dumps I guess you could say.

I have a bit of jealous bone going right now, several of my friends are expecting and sadly enough I am not. It's not that we are really trying, but it would be a nice surprise. I know in time God will grant us the joy of a little one, but right now it seems not likely. I keep telling myself that God has a plan for me and when he feels we are ready he will grant a child to love. For now, we have a 1 year old beagle to love and we do.

Why does it seem like when you want something so bad you see it everywhere you go? I mean I tell you everywhere I turn there is a pregnant person. And it just makes me realize even more that I am not. I am trying the whole "karma" thing, keeping happy thoughts, making cards to wish everyone happiness, making quilts, holding babies. I know in good time it will happen. Got to keep telling myself that.

Any way enough with the crabbing, thanks for looking and I promise I will make something and post it soon. We have a long weekend coming up and be creative.

Meet the newest member of the family

Okay so we have had her for over a month now and I am just now finding time to post pictures of her. Sorry

She is a year and half of beagle terrier mix. Her name is Bayley and no I didn't do that to her ears.

My DH has been working out of town since January and I found it difficult to want to be home at night. So I asked if I could have a dog. Well clearly you know the answer to that. It was an easy decision, but I had a sign to point me in the right direction. It was between her, which I adopted from the local pound, and a pug my sister's co-worker was going to give me. The pound called Bayley "Curly" cause of her ears. I called my friend Jami, crazydaisy creations, and asked if she wanted to do something fun over my lunch break. So she picked me up for lunch and we went to the pound. Well on the way there sitting at a stop light, there was a car in front of us whose license plate said "Curley". Now I am a believer that God gives us signs, that is his way of talking to us. So I took the license plate as a sign and adopted her that day. My DH loves her and we all quickly bonded and she is now comfortable with us and we couldn't be happier!!!!

Been Busy

Sorry I haven't blogged lately. I know those faithful viewers like to see what I have been up to. A lot is the answer. I recently got a promotion at work which has kept me very busy. I also work a part time job twice a week which keeps me from my stamping. Things will change today however. I did make shower invitations, which I need to get a picture of an post. A quilt for my dad for his birthday, which I also need a picture of. Tonight I have decided that I am going to set aside the evening for stamping.

I had a dream last night that at this baby shower I am hosting this weekend did not go as planned. I still have centerpieces to make, an advise book and a card for the gift. So tonight the plan is when I get off work, which will hopefully be around 5. I am changing into fat pants and am going to stamp until I cannot stamp anymore. So check back either later tonight or even this weekend to see what I have made!!!

Rough times

So I have been stamping, but with the weekend and start of the week I have had, just didn't feel like I could post anything.

My best friend of 22+ years lost her father Friday night to a long battle with cancer. Not the easiest thing to deal with, but I found that stamping really helped make me feel better. I did make a card for her family, but like always, the batteries in my camera died, what a way to put that right now. So I was unable to get a picture to post.

I started out with a really good moring yesterday, that was until my dad called and asked for my best friends phone number. He had told me he wanted to go to the bural, which is going to be in Iowa, where my friends family is origianlly from. He told me he wanted to do a 12 salute to Kevin. Which none the less made be start crying. Now mind you I was on my way to work at this time.

Kevin and my dad did our local fireworks show on the 4th of July together for many years, and if you know anything about fireworks and if you don't I will explain what a salute is. A salute is a single shot that makes your chest pound and shake at the noise. This is by far my favorite firework. You can have all the pretty colored ones, give me the salutes.

Upon being told this I felt it was necessary for me to go with my dad and help him set up for this and be there for my best friend. I don't do burals real well so I truly believe God wants me to be there for Maria and her family. So we will see how I am doing over the next few days.

Another one for you

No it's not a card, but better. My sister is entering my niece Hannah into a couple of cutiest baby contest and sent me the picture of her. I think she is doing on for our local paper and then she said something about Regis and Kelly. Let me know what you think of her. Is just turned 10 months old on the 27th of December.

Starting the New Year right

Okay so since I have been neglecting my blog I wanted to start the New Year right. I found out yesterday that a friend of my husband and I are expecting their second baby. Being the creative friend I am I thought I would send out an "Congratulations" card. Let me know what you think.

It's been a while

I know it has been FOREVER since I have posted anything. Thanks for the reminder Jennie!! So here is the last two months in a summary.

November- not a lot happened. Thanksgiving at my sisters in laws and a quick game of poker before heading to my in laws for another round of food. I really think I have gained more weight in the last two months than necessary.

December- again nothing really exciting happened. We had Christmas at both parents house which thankfully they split them up. Christmas Eve at my in laws and Christmas day with my family. Santa was very good to me. My wonderful husband got me the one thing I have been asking for, for several years. Diamond earrings!!! My in laws spoiled me rotten along with my parents. My MIL got me a table for my Stamping, so be looking for an update on what my room is going to look like, and a wooden file cabinet for my colored paper!!! My parents got me a rolling organizer. So my stamp room is starting to look like a stamp room. And one of my bestest good friends Jami crazydaisycreations husband made my probably the best present I could ever ask for!! He made me a stamp pad holder and a ribbon holder!!! He is handy, that is why I call him "handy Andy" I cannot wait to get my room set up!!

That is pretty much my last two months summed up.

There is something else that has happened that is a real downer, but it is something we all must face. My best friend of 22 years and her family are facing something I would never wish on anyone. Her dad is losing his battle with cancer. When she told me I took the news really hard. Her parents are like my parents, just like my parents are like hers. I ask that everyone keep him in your prayers. They are only giving him a few weeks to live. Please keep her family in your prayers!!
